The Dynamics of Community-Based Madrasah Diniyah Education: A Case Study of Madrasah Diniyah Darul Hikmah in Kwangkalan Neighborhood, Tempurejo Village, Pesantren Subdistrict

This research examines the dynamics of community-based Islamic education at Madrasah Diniyah Darul Hikmah in Kwangkalan Village, Tempurejo. The purpose of this research is to understand how the educational system of the Madrasah Diniyah is implemented and how community participation supports the sustainability of the institution. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the learning process still focuses on basic Islamic subjects such as the Qur’an, fiqh, theology (tauhid), and morals (akhlaq), using teaching methods such as lectures, memorization, worship practices, and sorogan. Nevertheless, the sustainability of the Madrasah Diniyah is maintained due to strong community support, although several challenges remain, including curriculum development, limited facilities and infrastructure, as well as the need to improve teacher competence and institutional management.
