A significant exception to this assumption, however, is the operationalization of the Laos–China Railway (LCR). This massive undertaking has ironically reinforced the authoritarian tenacity of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) rather than promoting democratic liberalization. This article argues that the LCR serves more as a tool for political survival than as a means of transportation, drawing on Spin Dictatorship theory. The regime uses the project to construct a concept of Performative Modernity—an impressive display of technological prowess designed to project performance credibility while concealing systemic oppression and financial instability. The analysis demonstrates how the LPRP manipulates the narrative of “transforming from land-locked to land-linked” to justify exclusionary development through a qualitative case study employing process tracing. By introducing the concept of Authoritarian Infrastructuralism and challenging the liberal institutionalist perspective, this study shows that infrastructural connectivity can be effectively decoupled from democratic transformation, thereby supporting the consolidation of contemporary autocracy.
Honest Dody Molasy Copyright (c) 2026 Honest Dody Molasy https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3081 Tue, 17 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Impact of Tax Consultant Service Quality and Tax System on Taxpayer Compliance, Moderated By Sanctions https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3018
Taxpayer compliance remains a critical challenge in Indonesia’s tax revenue optimization, despite ongoing reforms in administration and enforcement. Corporate taxpayers often face complexities in the self-assessment system, leading to reliance on professional tax consultants. However, the interplay between consultant service quality, the tax administration system, and the role of sanctions in shaping compliance behavior has not been comprehensively examined, particularly in regional contexts. This research aims to analyze the influence of tax consultant service quality and the tax administration system on taxpayer compliance, with tax sanctions as a moderating variable. The research employs a quantitative approach using primary data collected from 106 corporate taxpayers registered at the Samsiah Tax Consultant Office in Cirebon, West Java, selected through saturation sampling. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) via SPSS. The findings reveal that tax consultant service quality, the tax administration system, and tax sanctions each have a positive and significant direct effect on taxpayer compliance. Improvements in administrative systems and consultant professionalism significantly reduce the compliance burden and enhance adherence to tax regulations. However, the moderation test indicates that tax sanctions do not moderate the relationship between service quality or the administration system and taxpayer compliance. This study concludes that while tax sanctions function effectively as an independent deterrent, enhancing the quality of consultant services and the efficiency of the tax administration system should be prioritized as primary strategies for improving taxpayer compliance. The findings provide theoretical contributions to the attribution and deterrence frameworks and offer practical implications for tax authorities and consultants in designing targeted compliance interventions.
Samsiah Samsiah, Acep Komara, Irwan S. In the case of some caries, extensive destruction can result in a reduction in the vertical dimensions of the occlusion, which can negatively impact chewing, speech, aesthetics, and even craniofacial development. Therefore, a comprehensive management strategy is essential, combining caries elimination, dental restoration, and occlusal rehabilitation. Stainless Steel Crown (SSC) is considered a reliable restorative material in pediatric dentistry due to its durability, full-coverage protection, and ability to reconstruct occlusal vertical dimensions. This case report aims to describe the management of multiple caries in pediatric patients using SSC as a definitive restoration and tool for vertical dimension modification. A 5-year-old girl was presented with some caries involving several primary molars, accompanied by a decrease in vertical dimensions. Clinical and radiographic evaluation confirmed extensive carius lesions. Treatment involves caries removal and pulp therapy on the indicated tooth, followed by the placement of SSCs on the severely affected molars. SSC restoration successfully restored occlusal contact and corrected the loss of vertical dimensions. The use of SSC in this case not only provides long-term protection for the primary caryrius molars but also restores occlusal balance through vertical dimensional adjustment. This results in improved chewing, patient comfort, and functional stability with no reported complications. SSC thus has the dual role of a restorative solution and a tool for occlusal rehabilitation. SSC is an effective treatment modality in pediatric patients with multiple caries, offering structural preservation and modification of vertical dimensions. Its application supports optimal oral function, comfort, better eating behavior, and weight gain.
Rima Nur Lesmanawati, Naninda Berliana Pratidina Copyright (c) 2026 Rima Nur Lesmanawati, Naninda Berliana Pratidina https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3076 Wed, 18 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Relationship Between Depression Symptoms Measured by The Patient Health Questionnaire-9 and Blood Sugar Levels in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Outpatient Patients at Raden Achmad Basoeni General Hospital, Mojokerto, East Java, 2025 https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3072
The purpose of this research was to determine the correlation of depressive symptoms in patients with T2DM on 2-hour postprandial (PP) blood sugar levels. This study aims to uncover the meaning of mental health in Dayak culture through the concept of Batekang Hambaruan as a form of inner strength. The study uses a qualitative phenomenological approach, involving participants from the sub-tribes Dayak Ngaju and Dayak Barai in Kalimantan. Data were collected through semi-structured, in-depth interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results showed that mental health is defined as an individual’s ability to recover, think clearly, work, and perform meaningful life roles amid life’s stresses. In contrast, the condition of Balemu Hambaruan or Mamau is understood as a temporary phase of mental weakness. Mental vulnerability is influenced by economic, structural, and social labeling pressures, while mental reinforcement is shaped by cultural values such as Isen Mulang and Pintar Harati, indigenous practices, and family and community support. These findings indicate that Batekang Hambaruan represents a form of culture-based resilience in interpreting and maintaining the mental health of the Dayak community, emphasizing the importance of a culturally informed mental health approach for Indigenous communities.
Nurika Salsabila, Ainurizan Ridho Rahmatulloh Copyright (c) 2026 Nurika Salsabila, Ainurizan Ridho Rahmatulloh https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3057 Mon, 16 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Determinants of Accounting Conservatism in Infrastructure Companies Listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3050
The research aims to test and analyze the effect of the investment opportunity set, financial distress, and litigation risk on accounting conservatism. The assistance is realized through natural disaster response, the construction of health facilities, and capacity building programs, and is positioned as part of Indonesia's public diplomacy efforts to reduce international pressure related to the Papua issue. However, this increase in the intensity of humanitarian aid was not followed by a significant change in public perception or political attitudes in Vanuatu. Survey data shows that about 68 percent of Vanuatu people still support Papuan independence, while digital campaigns such as #FreeWestPapua with more than five million interactions continue to reinforce the pro-independence narrative in transnational public spaces. At the government level, Vanuatu has consistently raised the issue of Papua in various international forums, reflecting the gap between Indonesia's soft power efforts and the political results achieved. This study uses a single qualitative case study design with a time span of 2016–2023, through document analysis, tracing of humanitarian aid processes, media and social media content analysis, and limited observation. The theoretical framework of this research integrates Joseph Nye's concept of soft power and "new" public diplomacy (Melissen; Zaharna) with Hans Morgenthau's classical realism perspective on national interests, in order to explain the dynamics of persuasion as well as political resistance. The findings of the study show that humanitarian aid alone is not enough to change the deep-rooted political preferences related to the Papuan issue. The effectiveness of aid can only be increased if it is designed based on local needs, culturally resonant and integrated into a coherent, long-term, and collaborative cross-actor public diplomacy strategy.
Firman Fauzi Copyright (c) 2026 Firman Fauzi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3042 Tue, 03 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Macroeconomic Determinants of Coal Exports in Indonesia Amid Global Economic Volatility https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3039
This study analyzes the influence of international coal prices, the IDR/USD exchange rate, interest rates, and China's economic growth on the value of Indonesia's coal exports using the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) approach. Data from the 2010–2024 period was used to capture short-term and long-term dynamics relevant to the character of the energy commodity market. The estimation results show that international coal prices have a significant positive effect both in the short and long term, underscoring the role of global prices in determining the export performance of primary commodities. However, the exchange rate has a negative effect in the long term, indicating high import content during the production process; thus, rupiah depreciation increases operational costs in the mining sector. Since Indonesia's exports are highly dependent on China's energy demand as a major trading partner, China's economic growth has a significant positive effect on both time horizons. Meanwhile, interest rates did not significantly affect exports. The significant and large error correction value ensures an adjustment mechanism toward long-term equilibrium. The results of the statistical test showed a significant relationship between JAMKESMAS patient satisfaction and patient revisits to the Pedada Health Center, Pesawaran Regency, in 2025 (p-value = 0.012). An Odds Ratio value of 5.647 indicates that dissatisfied JAMKESMAS patients have a greater likelihood of irregular revisits compared to satisfied patients. It can be concluded that JAMKESMAS patient satisfaction is significantly related to patient revisits. Therefore, improving the quality of healthcare services at the Puskesmas is essential to increase patient satisfaction and encourage regular revisits.
Nurul Aziza, Nova Mega Rumana, Radella Hervidea, Dewi Woro Astuti, Adhi Nurhartanto Copyright (c) 2026 Nurul Aziza, Nova Mega Rumana, Radella Hervidea, Dewi Woro Astuti, Adhi Nurhartanto https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3083 Mon, 16 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Case Study: Analysis of Work Breakdown Structure on Project Completion Time in the Procurement of Industrial Oleochemicals Items https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3027
This research aims to analyze the application of project management in the areas of procurement knowledge (procurement) and logistics in the production facility construction project at PT X, an oleochemicals industry located in Indonesia. The problem to be solved arises from deviations in time and cost, particularly in the delivery schedule of items packaged in containers and shipped from international ports to Indonesia. These deviations result in cost overruns due to logistics delay fines. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach using comparative analysis techniques. Primary data include project schedule documents, logistics reports, and actual cost data. The results of the analysis show that the greatest deviation occurred in the customs clearance phase and in the handling of container-to-factory transportation. The effect of schedule deviation on cost deviation is examined in this paper, and after analysis, it is concluded that there is a need to enhance the effectiveness of project change management in the procurement process to formally mitigate and integrate logistics schedule changes, thereby controlling the risk of cost overruns.
Audrey Budiawan, Budi Husodo Bisowarno, Tedi Hudaya Copyright (c) 2026 Audrey Budiawan, Budi Husodo Bisowarno, Tedi Hudaya https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3027 Mon, 16 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Evaluation of Social Media Marketing and Operational as the Basis for the Wira Wiri Suroboyo Strategy Using the Race, Fishbone, Ahp, and Swot Methods https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3078
Transportation is an essential aspect of daily life, as the entire community relies on it to meet various needs. Rapid population growth and the high mobility of residents in the city of Surabaya have created significant challenges in public transportation management. This study aims to identify the reasons behind the low usage of Wira Wiri Suroboyo and to assess the effectiveness of social media marketing for Wira Wiri Suroboyo. A quantitative approach was employed using a questionnaire as the primary data collection instrument, with purposive sampling applied to select respondents. The study utilizes the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), Reach, Act, Convert, Engage (RACE), Fishbone, and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis methods. The results of the analysis using the Fishbone diagram show that the root causes of low public interest encompass several factors, including limited public participation, routes that do not cover all densely populated areas, inadequate bus stop facilities, and dependence on the regional budget for operational funding. Based on the SWOT matrix, Wira Wiri Suroboyo is positioned in the maintain quadrant but requires significant improvement in the “Act” aspect of social media engagement. The main strategic priority is to enhance interaction with consumers and provide informative, user-friendly content to build stronger brand awareness. This study concludes that the low usage of Wira Wiri Suroboyo is not solely a transportation issue but also a result of an underdeveloped supporting ecosystem. As a strategic recommendation, the Surabaya Transportation Agency should consistently implement the RACE framework, improve infrastructure (particularly bus stops), and adjust bus schedules at each stop according to actual travel patterns (origin–destination).
Erasmus Reyhan Irvandy, Bambang Syairudin Copyright (c) 2026 Erasmus Reyhan Irvandy, Bambang Syairudin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3078 Wed, 18 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Marketing Plan Strategy in Achieving Marketing Goals at the Harmoni Physiotherapy Clinic https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3075
This research aims to formulate a strategic marketing plan for Harmoni Physiotherapy Clinic through an analysis of the marketing framework, STP (Segmenting, Targeting, Positioning) strategy, and the 7P marketing mix. Historical data show that power outages due to natural disasters contribute significantly to the unreliability of distribution systems, with flood events occurring in seasonal patterns and tending to be spatially extensive. This condition requires a comprehensive understanding of the factors that cause flooding and the level of flood vulnerability in the area where the electricity infrastructure is located, as a basis for more targeted risk management efforts. This study uses a quantitative approach based on spatial analysis to identify and analyze flood vulnerability. Flood risk assessment is carried out by integrating four main parameters, namely slope slope, rainfall, land use, and soil type, each of which is weighted according to the level of influence on the occurrence of flooding. Rainfall data was analyzed using historical data for the period 2014–2024 as well as climate projections with the SSP 2-4.5 and SSP 5-8.5 Scenarios. All parameters are processed using the Geographic Information System (GIS) to produce flood vulnerability maps and identify the level of risk to the electricity infrastructure. The results showed that flood vulnerability in the study area was predominantly influenced by topographic factors, followed by soil type, while rainfall and land use had a relatively balanced level of influence. Flood risk mapping shows variations in vulnerability levels across different climate scenarios. In 2030, areas with the Vulnerable Risk and Moderately Vulnerable risk classes dominate, while in 2050 there will be a shift with the increasing dominance of Moderately Vulnerable Risk in both SSP scenarios. The integration of flood risk maps with infrastructure data shows that most distribution substations are located in medium to high flood risk zones, which confirms the importance of flood risk mapping as a basis for managing electricity infrastructure in vulnerable areas flooding.
Inez Carissa Abyati, Arie Dipareza Syafe’i Copyright (c) 2026 Inez Carissa Abyati, Arie Dipareza Syafe’i https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3069 Wed, 11 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 The Effect of Social Media Agility on Sme Performance in Indonesia: The Moderating Role of Digital Literacy and Environmental Dynamism https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3052
This study examines the effect of social media agility on the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia, with digital literacy and environmental dynamism serving as moderating variables. In an increasingly dynamic digital business environment, SMEs are required to respond quickly and flexibly to market changes, customer interactions, and competitive pressures through the effective use of social media. This research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method, with data collected from SME owners and managers across various sectors in Indonesia. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling to assess the direct and moderating relationships among variables. The findings indicate that social media agility has a significant positive effect on SME performance. Furthermore, digital literacy strengthens the relationship between social media agility and SME performance, suggesting that SMEs with higher levels of digital literacy are better able to leverage social media agility to enhance business outcomes. Environmental dynamism is also found to moderate this relationship, wherein higher levels of environmental uncertainty amplify the importance of social media agility in improving SME performance. These results highlight the critical role of social media agility as a strategic capability for SMEs, particularly when supported by adequate digital literacy and adaptability to dynamic environmental conditions. The study contributes to the literature on digital transformation and SME performance by providing empirical evidence from an emerging economy context.
Jennifer Wibisono, Charly Hongdiyanto Copyright (c) 2026 Jennifer Wibisono, Charly Hongdiyanto https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3052 Wed, 18 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Control of Slippery Conditions on Mining Roads Through Layering with Crusher Reject Material on the Hauling Road from Pit to Rom Pit Basalt PPA During Q4 2025 https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3043
The slippery condition of the mining road on the Pit to ROM Pit Basalt PPA hauling line is one of the main obstacles to achieving production targets and ensuring work safety. During the January–June 2025 period, the year-to-date slippery value on the Pit to ROM road exceeded the company's standard threshold, reaching an average of 243% or 1.83 hours per rainy event. This high value resulted from limitations in hard materials for road layering, soil conditions prone to slipperiness, suboptimal road geometry, and inadequate drainage systems. The impacts included decreased effective working hours for transportation equipment, increased unsafe conditions, and lost revenue from basalt loading activities. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of crusher reject material as an alternative for road layering to control slippery conditions in the Pit to ROM hauling area. It is an applied improvement study, problem-solving oriented, using the Quality Control Project (QCP) approach. The analysis employed quantitative and qualitative methods through before–after comparisons, supported by field observations and technical evaluations of the mining road conditions. The results show that layering with crusher reject material, supported by road geometry improvements and drainage normalization, significantly reduced slippery duration, increased effective working hours for hauler units, and generated revenue gains of Rp460,430,676. Using a descriptive qualitative design, the study involved ten purposively selected students. Data were gathered through semi-structured online interviews and light observation of Google Classroom, Moodle/SPADA, and Zoom usage over one semester and were analyzed thematically. The results identify four key challenges: (1) low-end device limitations (restricted RAM/storage, app crashes, and difficulty accessing large files), (2) high internet data demands, particularly during synchronous sessions, (3) unstable network connectivity, and (4) platform navigation that is not mobile-friendly. These barriers are not merely technical; they contribute to an adaptive-passive participation pattern that affects engagement, timely assignment submission, and learning comprehension. The study argues that platform-based learning challenges among mobile-only students reflect structural digital inequality, thereby requiring more inclusive digital instructional design (lightweight materials, calibrated asynchronous dominance, and file-size standards) alongside institutionally responsive policies.
Agus Salim Copyright (c) 2026 Agus Salim https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3040 Tue, 10 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Spatial Integration in the Fishermen Settlement of Sungai Pinang Nagari, Pesisir Selatan Regency https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3035
Regional development has introduced land access through a main road, leading to shifts in settlement orientation and the spatial configuration of Sungai Pinang Nagari, a fishing village in Pesisir Selatan Regency. Previously oriented toward water as the primary access, the spatial layout along the riverbanks now faces the risk of degradation due to these changes. Therefore, a study is needed to plan the spatial integration of existing areas. This research employed a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative rationalistic methods to holistically understand local spatial values and quantitative methods based on the Space Syntax concept—specifically, integrity analysis—to identify spaces with high integration value. These highly integrated spaces function as connectors and integrators, linking and harmonizing with other spatial zones. The findings reveal three high-integrity spaces: Integrity Space A along the coastal zone, Integrity Space B in the communal zone, and Integrity Space C along the riverbank zone. These spaces form integrative areas known as “grey spaces,” which support and connect various community activities. This study concludes that despite the shift toward a land-based orientation, spaces rooted in local wisdom retain significant potential as integrative and connective elements within a sustainable spatial framework.
Windri Hadi Utama, Al Busyra Fuadi, Era Triana Copyright (c) 2026 Windri Hadi Utama, Al Busyra Fuadi, Era Triana https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://ijsr.internationaljournallabs.com/index.php/ijsr/article/view/3035 Mon, 16 Feb 2026 00:00:00 +0000
